Women in Tech World celebrates Discovery Foundation Award

Women in Tech World Is Proud To Announce Continued Support from the Discovery Foundation’s Technology Education Program

VANCOUVER, BC, Women in Tech World is pleased to announce that the organization has been awarded $15,000 as a recipient of the Discovery Foundation’s Technology Education Program (TEP). This award recognizes the work that Women in Tech World has done to advance women in tech through community-first research and programming, including the Women in Tech Mastermind Series, provided in partnership with MyCEO.

The Discovery Foundation, a registered charity founded in 1979, is committed to facilitating innovation and the development of BC’s technology sector, including fostering diversity and inclusion in the industry. In 2010 the Discovery Foundation launched the Technology Education Program (TEP), which funds agent-run programs and events across BC that serve to promote and accelerate tech entrepreneurship in the province.

TEP funds will support the delivery of The Discovery Foundation’s Women in Tech Mastermind Series in collaboration with Women in Tech World & MyCEO throughout the year. This Mastermind series, first launched in 2019, offers women-identified folks in the technology industry an opportunity to accelerate their business and careers through virtual, peer-to-peer mentorship and high impact learning through expert advice.
